Introduction

GenomeSyn is a bioinformatics tool for visualizing genome synteny and structural variations. GenoemSyn is an easy-to-use application, users only need to submit two or three genomes data of the same species and different species, GenomeSyn will automatically process these genomic data, which can realize the visualization from sequence alignment to genome synteny analysis the whole process of drawing out. At the same time, GenomeSyn can help researchers engaged in genome research to obtain more intuitive results of synteny analysis quickly and efficiently.

GenomeSyn implementation principle and workflow are as follows:

  1. Users provide genome data in FASTA format, genome annotation in GFF3 format, and other additional data.
  2. The processed genomic data is aligned with the genomic sequence using the alignment tool MUMmer, so as to construct genome synteny blocks.
  3. Diversified visualization according to the parameters provided by the user.
